Let me ask a question, you are taking your children home, you get on the subway, and in the subway you see a couple making out in the subway. How do you feel?

Here, in China, I have been told that PDA (public display of affection) is very recent, before this didn't really happen. However, I have seen more couples holding each other (not just hands) on the subway, and some people making out at tourist attractions.

I find this interesting. In the places in the U.S. I have been to, maybe one out of one hundred couples will do an "extreme" PDA. In China, it seems that one out of ten couples will do it.

This is ok

I know back in the places I lived in the U.S., people were more tame, as doing stuff like that makes others feel uncomfortable. For the most part, people seem to hold hands when they are outside. So here is my advice to all the couples in public: Do you really want other people watching you and taking photos? Because you guys ruined my photos at TianTan (天坛)!
