一天都吃什么

I started out the day
开始新的一天前

with some green tea and pork and
mushroom dumplings
我喝了一杯绿茶和猪肉香菇饺子

which kind of helps cut out the saltiness

then we went out for lunch

rice

it was so good and totally worth the hype

the meal also came with a bowl of
passion fruit jello
套餐还配了一碗百香果果冻
which was super sweet and refreshing
超级清甜爽口

for dinner we were not super hungry
晚上我们不是很饿
so I made some tomato eggs with rice
所以我做了番茄蛋和米饭
which is a classic Chinese dish
这是一道经典的中国菜
tomato eggs was the first dish

I was served when I first came to china
我来中国时吃的第一道菜
that really opened my mind to trying real
Chinese cuisine
这让我真正开始尝试正宗的中国菜
because not only is it delicious
因为它不仅好吃
but it made me realizethat the "Chinese"food that I thought l knew
也让我意识到以前在美国吃过的中餐
was that really the best representation of
Chinese food
并不是真宗的中国菜
with that I had some caixin
我也准备了一点菜心
just boil it and thenpour a tiny bit of
用水煮然后倒一点
oyster or soy sauce on top
