知名物理学家史蒂芬·霍金去世，享年76岁。

World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76.

在最具有朝气与阳光的21岁不幸患病，身体严重变形，仅3根手指可以活动；

43岁因肺炎做手术，又丧失语言能力，曾被医生断言，仅能活2年。

但他却坚持以乐观的心态对抗病魔逾50年！

他说过许多激励人心的话。

曾言：

I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself a king of infinite space.
即使被囚禁在果壳之中，我仍然自以为是无限空间之王。

However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there's life, there is hope.

If you are disabled, it is probably not your fault, but it is no good blaming the world or expecting it to take pity on you. One has to have a positive attitude and must make the best of the situation that one finds oneself in; if one is physically disabled, one cannot afford to be psychologically disabled as well.

One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet.

2017年年底的WE大会，或许是史蒂芬·霍金与中国朋友们的最后一次见面。

霍金在他的剑桥办公室接受了拜访，并回答了中国网友的问题：

霍金：我想引用爱因斯坦的名言——这个世界最不可思议的地方就在于它是可以被理解的。我们所在的宇宙广袤而复杂，但它却遵循着我们能够去发现并了解的定律，这究竟是为什么呢？

2 中国网友：如果可以穿越，您会选择去往过去还是未来？
霍金：我想去往未来。因为从历史中，我们已经了解了过去。



霍金的爱情故事曾被拍摄成一部感人至深的电影—《万物理论》

今天，也是1879年爱因斯坦诞生的日子。
