你的身影离我很远很远
声音却常响在耳畔
每一个白天和夜晚
我的心头
都生长着一片常绿的思念

如果我临近大海
会为你捧回一簇美丽的珊瑚
让它装点你洁净的小屋
如果我傍着高山
会为你采来一束盛开的杜鹃
让春天在你书案前展露笑颜

既然这里是北方
既然现在是秋天
那么，我就为你采撷下红叶片片
我已暮年的教师啊
这火红火红的枫叶
不正是你的品格
你的情操 你的容颜

Missing My Teacher in Autumn

You are far and far away from me.
But your voice often rings in my ears.
Every day and every night,
I miss you, my dear teacher.

If I were living by the sea,
I would get some beautiful coral
With which to decorate your clean flat.
If I were living by the mountain,
I would pick a bunch of azaleas for you
To make spring stay on your writing desk.

Since I’m now in the North,
Since it’s now the autumn,
I will pick some red leaves for you.
Oh, my dear old teacher!
It’s the flaming-red leaves
That stand for your quality,
